When you use a tone that indicates you have a personal relationship with the recipients, they will be more likely to act on the information that is contained inside. People have an innate desire to be cared about, and will happily do business with a company that makes them feel like they matter.

Your email is not an essay

Using formal language is great if you are writing an essay for an English class, but it is not necessary for a marketing email. Using a more familiar tone will put the readers at ease and make them more likely to respond to the email in a positive way.

Using a personal tone shows you are approachable

If they have questions regarding your products or services, people will have an easier time reaching out to you if you have set a professional yet friendly tone that shows you are knowledgeable about your industry and ready to help anyone who needs it.
