How to Schedule out Facebook Posts

Before you can schedule out your Facebook posts with TouchConvert, you will need to connect your Facebook to TouchConvert.

Connecting Your Facebook to TouchConvert

Once you are in social you have three networks to start with.  The way this area was built is you can create one message and then deploy it to all networks without the need to rewrite it.  See the following pages as an example.

You will be greeted to your Facebook login.

  1. Type your username and password.
  2. Click Login at the bottom (You do not need to check-off "Keep me logged in").

Choosing the Correct Facebook Profile

Once you are logged into Facebook. You should see a dropdown with the option to pick your Facebook Profile. If you are a business you will want to consider having a Facebook company page rather than your "My main profile" page.  The reason for this is because if you want to allow other employees to post to Facebook it should be to the company page and not your own Facebook page. If you are a single business owner then you would want to just use your own wall.

  1. Select from the dropdown the Facebook profile you want TouchConver to post to.
  2. Click "Save" to finish.

Once you have selected your Facebook settings this screen will appear and you may close the window.

Posting to Facebook

Now that your social media is connected to TouchConvert, you can begin to plan on the posts you would like your Facebook fans to see. As you can see (below) from this sample message we've geared it towards our friends on Facebook.

  1. We are posting to Facebook, see how it is underlined.
  2. We have our Facebook message to our friends.
  3. We have the ability to clear the message.
  4. We can schedule the message to be time released on a later date.
  5. We can post right now if we want. If we are not an approver, this button would say propose a post.
  6. This dropdown allows me to see proposed posts of other non-approvers and also allows me to see scheduled posts as you will see on the following screens.

If you click on the "Schedule" button from the previous screen you can schedule the date and time the post will go out.  As we can see this is still for a Facebook post as that is what is underlined. And this will go out to the company network "Virteom" as we can see in the upper toolbar. This is useful if you are a marketing firm with many TouchConvert accounts.

 

  1. Pick a Date the social post will go out on Facebook.
  2. Pick the time of day it will go out on Facebook.
  3. Click "Save"

As you can see at the bottom I now have a scheduled post for Facebook.

  1. I can click the pencil to edit it before it goes out.
  2. I can click the "Post Now" button if I just can't wait any longer.
  3. I can also "Trash" the post if I decided I don't want it to go out anymore.

NOTE: Notice how I wrote out the "Http://" for a URL. You need to add that. If you put "www..." without the "Http://" there is a good chance that the social network would not know it is a link.

If I click back on facebook we can see there is one post there still. The point of demonstrating this is so that you understand that each click on each social network will show the pertinent scheduled posts and pending approval posts for that network you are clicked on.

Now I've clicked back on Twitter. Notice that the Facebook post is still in the Twitter post. This is purposeful.  If all I want to do is change the words, "Hello Friends" to "Hello World" but leave the rest of the message the same, I can do that. Now this message is more appropriate for the general world to read from Twitter.

Below are Step by Step Instructions IMPORTANT: Make sure you added the DNS settings inside of your DNS manager to start to send emails. If you have not done this or get a message that mail cannot be sent from TouchConvert, this is because your DNS settings have not been added. Simply contact us to get the settings if need be. Email campaigning is used for news and informational events that need to be released on a very specific date and time. For example you could use this feature to create news letters, announcements to certain groups of customers and even invitations and surveys. Click on Email Campaigns to start to build a campaign. Email Campaign Overview Once you are inside of your campaign you should see a list of campaigns that you've already created. If this is your first time in this area then it will be blank. This article covers the proceedure for adding tags on customers records so that you can sort by them and export them into lists. Login to TouchConvert Login to TouchConvert and click on Settings Zoom Contact Attributes Click on Contact Attributes to add new Contact Field Zoom Add a new Field Click on the green plus button to add a new field. Zoom Name the Field Give the new Field a name, such as 'Tags'. You can add other customer Contact Attributes here as well. Zoom New Tags Field is added Now you should see a new "Tags" field. Zoom View any contact you have Click on 'View' next to any contact to see new field. Zoom New Tags Field You'll see your new input field in the contacts area. Zoom Type your Tags Type as many tags for this customer that you need. You don't need to use a comma if you don't want to. These will become search filters later. Zoom Go to Contacts Zoom Turn on the Tags Field Once you are in Contacts, turn on the "Tags" field by clicking on the Columns Dropdown.
