Name the Field
Give the new Field a name, such as 'Tags'. You can add other customer Contact Attributes here as well.
Type your Tags
Type as many tags for this customer that you need. You don't need to use a comma if you don't want to. These will become search filters later.
Go to Contacts
Turn on the Tags Field
Once you are in Contacts, turn on the "Tags" field by clicking on the Columns Dropdown.
- Click on Columns
- Check off Tags
- Click Done
Tags Column is Visible
You'll notice you now have a tags column you can sort by. Notice that the few tags I had typed are in that first contact.
Filtering Certain Contacts
1. Click on the Search Icon
2. Type one of the tag names
3. Click Enter. You'll notice it filters just that person or persons who has that tag.
4. Click on Export as CSV. This will export just that filtered list.
Open the CSV
If you open the CSV you'll see just the results you filtered. This is how you create lists from tags on customers.
Highlight the Fields you don't Need
Remove any unnecessary fields you do not need for importing into the email campaign tool.
Final Spreadsheet
Below is a good example of what the imported spreadsheet may have on it. Since these users are already in the system you just need the basics.

Save the CSV

Open your email Campaign
Open the email campaign you want to import the list to.
Note: A newer version of TouchConvert will allow you to just import directly to a list without the need to export. This version does not..
Importing List
Choose the File
Import file from Desktop
Data Map the Fields
Map the excel spreadsheet header fields with the TouchConvert fields. Only email is required. Also, DO NOT check off overwrite existing contacts since these contacts are already in there. Use that only if you want to overwrite their information with new information from the spreadsheet you are importing.
